Why plasmolysis happens only in plant cells why not in animal cells?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Plasmolysis involves shrinkage of cytoplasm inside the cell wall by losing water through osmosis. A cell wall is a necessary feature in plasmolysis. It does not occur in animal cells as they do not have cell walls.
