Question

why respiration occurs at otimum temperature?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Respiration occurs at optimum temperature because the reaction of cellular respiration depends on the various enzymes which work very effectively at an optimum temperature. The molecules also move at a faster rate at a particular optimum temperature and thus increases the rate of the reaction. If the temperature is too high, then the enzyme will be denatured thus affecting the rate of the chemical reaction.
