Open in App
Solution

Organelles like nucleus, mitochondria, golgi complex etc are surrounded by a membrane. Ribosomes are composed of RNA and protein and are not surrounded by a membrane. They are the sites for protein synthesis in the cells are thus are classified as organelle. Hence, they are called membrane-less organelle.
