Why root pressure exist at late night and early morning?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Root pressure occurs or exists at late night or early morning because transpiration does not occur during the night or early morning which is responsible for upward suction or movement of water.Transpiration pull occurs more during the day when the stomatal pore is open. Thus, the effect of root pressure is during the night because stomata are closed during night time or early morning.
