1. Forests provide large amounts of oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. In this way, they maintain the optimum levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
2. Forests prevent soil erosion.
3. Forests provide food, medicines, timber and various other necessary commodities which are very essential for our livelihood.
