Question

Why should you breathe through your nose and not your mouth?

Open in App
Solution

Air around us contains suspended dust particles and harmful microorganisms. When we breathe in air through our nose, the hair and mucus present inside the latter traps the dust particles and microorganisms from entering our respiratory tract. Thus, we should breathe in air through our nose and not through our mouth.
