Why silk cotton would be better suited to make clothes than coir??

Coir is obtained from the husk of coconut. It is a strong and hard fibre. They are used in products such as door mat, floor mat and mattresses. On the other hand silk cotton is a soft and smooth fibre. Therefore, silk cotton is better suited to make clothes than coir.
