its silver beaten into very thin sheets
its used in sweets as in india its believed that metals in are body to some extent are good for health and well living


Because silver foils are very thin sheets than gold foils or aluminium foils and we require the thinnest layer of the metal to cover the sweets, this thinnest layer cannot be formed using Gold or aluminium foil.
