Why some human hair are golden or brown?

There is hydrogen peroxide in the follicle and catalase generally degrades it into water and oxygen. However, when catalase goes away, the peroxide bleaches the hair coming out of the follicle, and voila–a bleached hair. Hair color is determined by the amount of a pigment called melanin. The eye color is also determined by the amount of melanin.
