Why some squirrels are referred to as 'forgetful squirrels'?

Some squirrel collects a lot of groundnuts and hides them underground before the onset of winter. They can hardly eat all of them and even forget where they have hidden their nuts. Because of this nature they are named as 'forgetful squirrels'.
