Why tension changes in vertical circular motion?

In vertical circular motion , the particle in motion is influenced by the component of gravity and the centrifugal force while both both centrifugal force and gravity helps to pass through lower position , the gravity oppoeses this in the uppere position . same is the case for other positions .so the tension changes accordingly.
