Why the charge gained by the unchanged body from a charged body due to conduction is not equal to half of the total charge initially present.

Dear student,

In conduction body actually touches to each other or we connect them by conducting wire.
and in these condition concept is CHARGE WILL FLOW TILL BOTH BODIES HAVE THE SAME POTENTIAL ( NOT CHARGE ).
so potential of both bodies will same not charge,
if both bodies are identical let sphere than by equating potential here you will get same charge but it wont be everytime
