why the colour of hairs are black? why dont we feel pain when we cut our hair?

The black colour of hair is because of the large amount of eumelanin a type of melanin pigment. Hair are composed of dead cells and therefore have no blood vessels or nerve cells attached to it, as there is no nerve cell there would be no feeling of pain. Hence, you do not feel pain when you cut your hair.
