Solution

The correct option is B

The path is not visible because scattering of light does not take place

Scattering of light by particles of a mixture makes it path visible to our eyes. This phenomenon is called as Tyndall effect.
  • Colloids and suspensions are made of particles that are big enough to scatter a beam of light.
  • But, particles in solutions are too small to scatter a beam of light. Hence, the path of light is not visible when it passes through them.
