Sexual maturation of a human being is important to the society as once a person becomes sexually mature, he/she becomes capable to reproduce and become a prominent part of the society. So, they become reproductively active.

AIDS caused by HIV, Genital Herpes caused by herpes simplex virus, Gonorrhoea caused by Nisseria gonorrhoeae and syphilis by Trepanoma pallidum are some of the STDs.

STD's can be prevented by:

1 By avoiding having sex with infected or any unknown people
2 Sharing of needles ,syringes should be stopped
3 Blood transfusion from infected person must be avoided . Blood must be properly tested before transfusion.
4 Adequate medical treatment should be provided to the pregnant women to protect the child from getting infected .
