When high speed winds blow above the roof, the pressure above the roof decreases. More the high speed more will be decrease in pressure. Air pressure below the roof is high as compared to the pressure above the roof. This pressure difference creates an upward force on the roof. That's why roofs of the huts are blown off when high speed winds starts flowing.
