Question

Why two holes are made in an oil can to pour out oil from it?

Open in App
Solution

With only one hole the oil will flow out quite slow as inwards movement of air and outward movement of oil is through the same hole. Now, by making another hole we are actually increasing the rate of flow of oil as air can flow through the other hole.

So, this is why two holes are made.
