Question

Why two stones do not come closer, even if there is gravitational force of attraction between them ?

Open in App
Solution

If we calculate the acceleration because of the force of gravitation between two stones, we see that it is of the order of 1012msec2. And also, other forces like force of friction are much higher than the force of gravitation between them. Therefore, they do not come closer.
