Why unsaturated hydrocarbons decolourise bromine ?

Bromine reacts with unsaturated compound to give addition products. So bromine is consumed in the reaction.
CH2=CH2 + Br2 --> CH2Br- CH2Br.
This leads to decolourisation of bromine.
