Open in App
Solution

The Pitt's India Act, also called the East India Company Act, was passed by the British Parliament in 1784 to correct the defects of the Regulating Act of 1773. This act made East India Company's rule in India under the control of the British Government. The act is named after William Pitt, who was Britain's Prime Minister when the act was passed.
