Thus, he sent his son, Dilawar Khan to Kabul to invite Babur to help him overthrow Ibrahim Lodhi. He was helped in his quest by Alam Khan, the uncle of Ibrahim Lodhi. Daulat Khan had hoped that after defeating Ibrahim Lodhi, Babur would return to Kabul and hand over the administration of the annexed regions to him.
