National Assembly was formed by the people of the Third Estate because it was large in number and the burden of entire taxation was borne by them.There were 600 members from the Third Estate in the Assembly of the Estates General.Due to their numerical strength, the Third Estate considered themselves as the Spokesperson of the people of France.So, a National assembly was formed by them on 20 June, 1789.
