Solution

The correct option is A Area of water exposed to the atmosphere in road is higher than the potholes
This happens because of an increase in the surface area of water. On roads, water is spread over a large area, because of that large area of water is exposed to the atmosphere, and evaporation of water takes place quickly resulting in quick drying of the roads.
While in potholes water is spread to a lower surface area because of that lower area of water is exposed to air resulting in delayed evaporation.
Temperature is same everywhere.
