Why we can not use clinical thermometer in the laboratory?

Dear student,
if we use clinical thermometer in lab, there are some problems.

The problems which will be encountered are as follows-

• In the lab we need to measure the temp of some things which have such high temp that exceeds 42 degree celcius while some things are so cold that their temp may be less than 35 degree celciusbut the range in clinical thermometer is 35 to 42 degree celcius.that is why if we use it in lab, then it may break. So instead of clinical thermometers we use laboratory thermometer. It has more measurable temperature range.
