Why we take only rectangular area or rectangle strip to find area of the curves in unit Application of Integrals. Can we take some other shape also or not

We will consider infinitely small squares or rectangles.

It doesn't even matter how we consider

For the simplicity, we consider as rectangle because its area is l*b

You can consider circles, but u have to take the limits accordingly which is a very comlex one
