Question

Why will plain sheet of paper fall than of a crumpled paper?

Open in App
Solution

On a plain sheet of paper the frictional force of air ismore than on the crumbled paper because surface area of plain paper is more to trap air inside it. So more is the frictional force less is the speed of falling of the body through the air and vice versa. This the reason why crumbled paper fall faster than plain paper released in air.
