Why wind and water pollinated flowers are not very colourful and do not produce nectar?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student, Flowers need colour and nectar to attract insects towards them so that insects disperse pollens on them. But in case of wind and air pollinated flowers, wind and air are dispersal agents so flowers can be colourless and do not produce nectar. Thank You!
