Why winters in India experience dry season?

It experience a dry season because during the winter the monsoon moisture laden winds retreats in which The direction of winds that bring moisture in northern states is reversed and moves in the south-east direction towards the Bay of Bengal because due to the change in the pressure conditions caused by the shifting of direct sunrays towards equator from the Tropic of Cancer which lowers the temperature of the subcontinental landmass that results into the differential heating of the land and the adjoining water bodies like Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean,where a higher temperature is found creating a difference in pressure conditions. High pressure areas are formed over the landmass. The wind direction is reversed and moves in the south-east direction towards the Bay of Bengal.
