  1. Sound is a mechanical wave, and we know that mechanical waves require a medium to travel.
  2. There is no medium (atmosphere) on the moon.
  3. So sound produced by string cannot travel there and no sound will be audible.

Therefore, as a result, the sound created by the string will not travel on the moon, and no sound will be heard due to no atmosphere.
