Will the value of Specific latent heat of fusion of a Substance change if the temperature scale is changed from Celsius scale to Fahrenheit scale and from Celsius scale to kelvin scale ?

  1. The energy, which is in the form of heat, required to change the state of solid to the state of liquid at atmospheric pressure is called “Latent heat of fusion ” or “ Enthalpy of fusion ”.
  2. The latent heat of fusion of a substance will not change with the change in temperature as the temperature is kept constant during the whole procedure .

Hence, the latent heat of fusion will remain the same despite of the temperature scale changes.
