Light saturation for carbon dioxide fixation occurs at 10% of full sunlight. This statement is true. Hence, light is rarely a limiting factor for photosynthesis unless the plants are in shade or in dense forest. However, increase in light intensity causes the breakdown of chlorophyll and decreases the rate of photosynthesis.

The major limiting factor for photosynthesis is carbon dioxide. Increasing atmospheric CO2 concentration up to 0.05% can enhance CO2 fixation rate. This statement is true. However, beyond this the levels can become damaging.
