All section of the Indian National Congress united in opposing the Partition of Bengal in 1905. The INC also supported the Swadeshi and Boycott Movement of Bengal. There was much public debate and disagreement between the moderate and militant nationalism, the latter wanted to extend the Swadeshi and Boycott movement from Bengal to the every form of association with the colonial government.
