Here, the value $40$ occurs the maximum number of times, thus the given data set has mode $40$ which lies in the given data.

Now, consider the data of the age of $5$ students be given as:
$12,24,34,14,23$
Since, each value exists for the same number of times, therefore this data set will have no mode.

Hence, it is not recessary that every data set will have a mode.
