Solution
With the help of a labelled diagram describe the structure of a chloroplast.
Chloroplast is the cell organelle present in the plant cells and green algae.
The organelles contain a green pigment called chlorophyll which is involved in the photosynthesis of food.
Each chloroplast is bounded by two unit membranes which show two distinct regions that are Grana and stroma.
Grana:
Grana are stacks of membranous flattened discoid sacs called thylakoids which contain the molecules of chlorophyll.
Stroma:
Stroma is the homogeneous matrix in which grana are embedded.
