Solution
The image formed by the plane mirror will be the same size as the object and laterally inverted.
When an object is placed between the focus and pole of the concave mirror, the image formed is enlarged, virtual and erect. As the object moves away from the mirror, the image gets inverted.
The image formed by the convex mirror will be small and erect.
For example, stand close to the mirror and move away. If the image formed by a mirror is the same as the object for all distances, then the mirror is the plane mirror.
If the image is diminished for all distances, then the mirror is a convex mirror.
Initially, if the image formed is magnified and erect and after moving away from a certain distance from the mirror the image gets inverted, then the mirror is a concave mirror.
