(-6)+(-8)

Finding the sum of (-6)+(-8)

Here, both numbers are of like sign -

So, we add the absolute values of both the numbers and give the common sign to the result.

Since absolute value of a number denotes the distance between zero and that number in a number line.

So,

-6=6-8=8

So, 6+8=14

Hence, the answer is -14
