  1. A work is said to be done if we applied a force on an object and the object moves to a distance.
  2. So work done,

W=F×scosθ

Where F is the applied force and s is the displacement in the direction of the force.

  1. If, θ=00,cosθ=0andW=Fs
  2. If, θ=90,cos90=0andW=0
  3. if, θ=1800,cos180=-1andW=-Fs

Hence, work done is maximum when θ=00.
