$(9 x^{5} - 15 x^{4} - 21 x^{2}) \div (3 x^{2})$
$= \frac{9 x^{5} - 15 x^{4} - 21 x^{2}}{3 x^{2}}$
$= \frac{9 x^{5}}{3 x^{2}} - \frac{15 x^{4}}{3 x^{2}} - \frac{21 x^{2}}{3 x^{2}}$
$= 3 x^{3} - 5 x^{2} - 7$
