Step 2 : Bring down $4$

$4÷2=2$

Write $2$ in hundreds place of quotient and write the product $4$ below the hundreds place of dividend, $4-4=0$

Step 3 : Bring down $6$

$6÷2=3$,

Write $3$ in tens place of quotient and write the product $6$ below the tens place of dividend, $6-6=0$

Step 4 : Bring down $5$

$5÷2$, which can not be divided

$4$ is the multiple of $2$,which is smaller than $5$

Write $2$ in ones place of quotient and write the product $4$ below the ones place of dividend, $5-4=1$
