3362

Open in App
Solution

Let us divide 362 by 3

Step 1 : Divide 3 hundreds by 3, i.e, 3÷3=1

Write 1 in hundreds place of quotient and write the product 3 below the hundreds place of dividend, 3-3=0

Step 2 : Bring down 6

6÷3=2

Write 2 in tens place of quotient and write the product 6 below the tens place of dividend, 6-6=0

Step 3 : Bring down 2

2÷3, which can not be divided

0 is the multiple of 3, which smaller than 2

Write 0 in ones place of quotient and write the product 0 below the ones place of dividend, 2-0=2

we get,

ThTO120__________3362-3_________06-6__________02-02

Hence, the required quotient is 120 and remainder is 2
