Solution

Let us divide 6395 by 3

Step 1 : Divide 6 thousands by 3, i.e, 6÷3=2

Write 2 in thousands place of quotient and write the product 6 below the thousands place of dividend, 6-6=0

Step 2 : Bring down 3

3÷3=1

Write 1 in hundreds place of quotient and write the product 3 below the hundreds place of dividend, 3-3=0

Step 3 : Bring down 9

9÷3=3,

Write 3 in tens place of quotient and write the product 9 below the tens place of dividend, 9-9=0

Step 4 Bring down 5

5÷3, which can not b :e divided

3 is the multiple of 3,which is smaller than 5

Write 1 in ones place of quotient and write the product 3 below the ones place of dividend, 5-3=2

we get,

THHTO21313⟌6395-603-309-905-32
