Therefore,

$8.64=\frac{864}{100}$

$3.6=\frac{36}{10}$

According to the question,

$$\begin{gathered} 8.64÷3.6 \\ =\frac{864}{100}÷\frac{36}{10} \\ =\frac{864}{100}\times \frac{10}{36} \\ =\frac{864}{36\times 10} \\ =\frac{24}{10}=2.4 \end{gathered}$$
