Solution

Life of workers during the industrialization was generally grim and harsh.

1. Due to excess number of workers in the labour market, the number of workers seeking jobs in industries was large.
2. As a result, wages of workers in industries was very low. It was just enough to keep them alive.
3. Working conditions were harsh. They had to work long works with little breaks. There was little concern for the safety of workers. As a result, their were frequent injuries and even death to workers.
4. The working condition of women and children was even worse. Their wages were even lower. Even children had to work for as many as fifteen hours a day.
5. The living conditions of workers were also very bad. They lived in slums with little sanitary and drainage facilities. The incidence of disease and mortality rates in these slums were very high.
