Question

Write a balanced chemical equation when ethanol is burnt in air to form carbon dioxide, water, and release heat?

Open in App
Solution

When ethanol is burnt in the air it gives carbon dioxide, water, and releases heat.

C2H5OH(l)+O2(g)CO2(g)+H2O(g)+Heat

Now balancing the above chemical reaction:-

C2H5OH(l)+3O2(g)2CO2(g)+3H2O(l)+Heat

Hence, the above chemical reaction is balanced.
