Ways of waste disposal:

  • Dumping:
    • Dumping means tossing rubbish away.
    • It contains garbage that is both biodegradable and non-biodegradable.
  • Composting: Composting is the process of converting biodegradable solid wastes into nutrient-rich manure in the presence of microbes.
  • Sewage treatment plants:
    • Sewage treatment plants are facilities where liquid wastes from homes are transported to treatment plants via sewer pipes.
    • Wastewater is recycled after treatment, and solid waste is transformed into manure.
