Papa Panov was a kind and generous man. He lived in a small village. He lived alone as his wife was dead and his children had gone. He seemed to be a believer in god, when he reads Bible. Moreover his helping nature is conveyed through the story. The sweeper and the baby were helped by him. Although he didn't have too much, he helped those who are in need. Thus, he never complained about his life. At last he seemed to be happy as he has heard Jesus's voice and believed that he visited in reality.
