Marginalised groups are those which are in lower proportion with rest of the population.They can be marginalised on the grounds of languages,customs,way of dressing,religious beliefs etc.They are mostly deprived and poor ,considered to be of low social status and viewed as being less human than others.They Economic ,social,cultural and political factors work together to feel marginalised.In India the Adivasis are marginalised because they have very low literacy and education levels. Even their health and living conditions are below the national average. The benefits of development have hardly reached to them.Those who are marginalised have relatively little control over their lives, and the resources available to them.Women ,children,old age people etc belong to marginalised sections.Various education programmes like SSA,mid day meals,training programmes,developmental projects,SHG's have been started to improve their living standards.
