Area of circle is the space occupied by the circle in two dimensional space.

The radius of the circle is the fixed distance from the center to the circumference. It is represented by $r$.

Area of circle is given by,

$\begin{array}{rcl}A& =& \mathrm{\pi }\times r^2\\ & \Rightarrow & A=\pi r^2\end{array}$

Here, $\pi$ is a constant and have a value of $\frac{22}{7}$.

Therefore, area of circle is $\begin{array}{rcl}& & \pi r^2\end{array}$.
