Open in App
Solution

Haemophilia is an inherited disorder wherein a clotting factor is lacking leading to the inability of blood to form a clot. In such people, bleeding usually does not stop and can lead to death. The gene responsible for this defect is located on the X chromosome. It is seen more commonly in males since the disease follows an X-linked recessive pattern.
