The preventive and control measures of AIDs includes -

(i) Screening of blood and blood products to destory the virus.
(ii) Education about preventive measures of AIDS.
(iii) Education about protected sexual behaviour & practices.
(iv) Participation of voluntary agencies, teachers, NGO's, paramedical health workers, several other voluntary health organisations in AIDS awareness programmes.
(v) Making the antiretroviral drugs like AZT's (Azidothymidine Zidovudin) & saquinovir etc. available to the patients.
